A ‘simchat bat’ in El Salvador

A ‘simchat bat’ in El Salvador

This Chanukah was especially emotional and meaningful for Tuvia and Shirley Beltran from El Salvador, as they experienced one of the happiest moments of their lives: the birth of their adorable daughther, Priel Michaela. During the holiday, the Beltran family made a traditional ‘simchat bat’ celebration; literally meaning ‘the joy of a daughter’.

We’re happy to share with you some beautiful pictures of the celebration which included sweets, and a pinata. Among the guests was Rabbi Elisha Salas, Shavei’s emissary in El Salvador.
