14 Dec Bnei Menashe aliyah from Mizoram resumes in January
One hundred Bnei Menashe from the Indian state of Mizoram are due to arrive in Israel by the end of January. It will be the first flight in the fifth group aliyah that Shavei Israel has arranged since the Bnei Menashe immigration resumed in late 2012.
As the Bnei Menashe prepare for their imminent departure, we are doing what we can to secure the urgently needed funding to bring them. If we are not able to raise the money in time, this latest aliyah might not happen.
Time is short: if you can help, please give here. We need to raise $2,400 per immigrant. With your help, we will succeed!
Shavei Israel Chairman Michael Freund will be flying to India to accompany the group. Upon their arrival in Israel, they will join the existing Bnei Menashe community in Upper Nazareth.
In the coming weeks, we will be bringing you a series of profiles of some of the new immigrants. For our first profile, please meet Itzkhak Fanai.
