New Initiative sees Bnei Menashe Giving back to the community

Recently Avi Mizrahi, the Bnei Menashe Project Director at Shavei Israel, met with Yoel Hadad, the Director of Aliyah and Absorption in the city of Tiberias to get an exciting new initiative underway. The program, a joint project of Shavei Israel, the city of Tiberias, and Bituach Leumi (the National Insurance Institute) will have Bnei Menashe young people from the community contribute regularly to the wellbeing of the elderly in their community.

This special project, a ‘Brotherhood of Generations’, will have Bnei Menashe youth regularly provide food packages to the needy elderly in the city. The program offers the opportunity for immigrants (Bnei Menashe), who have received assistance until now, to turn around and give to others. This amazing program which offers both education and values to the youth, also serves to highlight and promote the Bnei Menashe community.
